experience of water treatment and desalination means that we can
bring a wealth of theoretical and practical experience to bear on
any project.

- Tender document preparation including performance or detailed
specifications
- Programming for refurbishment and upgrading works to minimise
the impact of work on operational activities.
Recent projects that Mott MacDonald has been involved in
include:
Da Chang WTW, ChinaExtension to Wing
WTW, UK: feasibility study and outline design for a new 90Ml/d
advanced water treatment works for Anglian Water. Project is
ongoing and will ultimately lead to Mott MacDonald carrying out the
detailed design and construction supervision.
Scottish Water Solutions Framework Agreement, UK: a number
of members of the process team have been seconded into Scottish
Water Solutions to assist them in developing a wide range of
projects during the Q&SII programme of work.
Cryptosporidium Removal Membrane Plants, Bristol,
UK: feasibility study, tender documents, outline and
detailed design, project management and construction of eight
membrane plants ranging in size from 5 to 18Ml/d.
T K Halli WTW, Bangalore, India:
feasibility study, tender documents and contract supervision for a
270Ml/d water treatment works comprising clarifiers and rapid
gravity filters.
Keldgate WTW and borehole pump station, UK. Capacity
90Ml/d, UK: ultra-filtration membrane plant for
cryptosporidium removal.
Alderney Potable Water Scheme, UK: feasibility study,
outline design and cost estimates for upgrading the island’s
treatment works and supply system.
