Hamish is acting as Project Engineer to help
Scottish Water deliver its current 32.15 billion capital investment
programmeHamish Innes joined Mott MacDonald in 1996
after graduating from Imperial College with an MSc in Environmental
Technology with Water Management.
Hamish has since become a chartered engineer. He has extensive
experience in the design of mechanical systems and related services
for potable water supply, wastewater treatment and seawater cooling
systems, preparation of contract documents and contract/project
management.
In addition to his work in the UK for water and wastewater
utilities (Scottish Water, Yorkshire Water, Bristol Water, Anglian
Water and Southern Water) Hamish has considerable overseas
experience having worked on the Ras Laffan Common Cooling Seawater
System – Phase II in Qatar, the Refurbishment of Pumping Plant ‘C’
and the design of Pumping Plant ‘D’, Shuaiba Industrial Area in
Kuwait, and the Sichuan Urban Environmental Project in China.
Hamish is currently working in Scotland as a Design Engineer
seconded to Scottish Water Solutions, Scottish Water’s innovative
vehicle for delivering a large part of its capital investment
programme. He is responsible for the mechanical engineering design
of numerous projects, as well as managing staff and mentoring a
number of graduate mechanical engineers.
