the University of Liverpool with a BEng in 1974 and then joined
Mott MacDonald. He is a Fellow of the Institution of Civil
Engineers, and since 1992 a member of the All Reservoirs Panel of
Engineers - Reservoirs Act 1975. From 2001 to 2004 he was also a
Member of the Institution of Civil Engineers Reservoirs Committee.
Jack is a Technical Director in Mott MacDonald who specialises in
all phases of dam and reservoir projects. He is responsible for
carrying out statutory inspections and supervision of construction
and safety works in the UK. His experience also includes flood
protection, hydraulic structures, hydropower, investigation of dam
failures, project management, contract administration and being an
expert witness. Jack also has extensive experience in hydraulic
model tests, site investigations, instrumentation and analysis of
dams.
As an AR Panel Engineer he has carried out Section 10 Inspections
for water companies, Environment Agency and private owners of
embankment and concrete dams, lined and unlined off-stream storage
reservoirs, and service reservoirs.
In his more than 30 years’ experience working for Mott MacDonald
Jack has worked in many countries around the world. These include
UK, Turkey, Kenya, Kazakhstan, Hong Kong, Ethiopia, the Kyrgyz
Republic, Sweden, India, Sri Lanka, Russia, UAE, Somalia, Laos,
Mauritius, Jordan, Pakistan, Oman, Botswana, USA, Malaysia,
Nigeria, Indonesia, and Cyprus.
